About Me
Now Looking!
We're a friendly family returning to Pembrokeshire from the Cotswolds, where we’ve lived for three years. Mum, originally from Pembrokeshire, is a stay-at-home parent; Dad works from home quietly. We have a one-year-old boy and two lively small dogs. We need a kind, reliable nanny part-time (20 hours/week, 3-4 days, with potential to become full-time with future newborn; newborn experience a plus). Starting around November/December (tbc when our house sale in the Cotswolds has a completion date), you’ll help with our son and give Mum a break. Based near Maidenwells, Pembroke while house-hunting, you must be dog-friendly, enjoy countryside life, and drive in rural areas. Join our family!
My Requirements
Warm and Welcoming Nanny Opportunity near Pembroke
We’re a warm family relocating from the Cotswolds to Pembrokeshire, Mum’s hometown. With our joyful one-year-old son and two small, lively dogs, we’re seeking a nurturing, reliable nanny to join us part-time (20 hours/week, 3-4 days) starting November/December, with exciting potential for a long-term role as our family grows.
Role Details
Hours: 20 hours/week, typically Monday–Friday, midday to 6:30 PM, flexible for those with another job.
Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
Location: Near Maidenwells, Pembroke initially (full parking provided), moving between Pembroke and Saundersfoot once we buy a house.
Extras: Occasional evening babysitting (£10/hour) after 7:00 PM. Rare full-day/overnight care (1-2 nights for special occasions) with a comfy spare bedroom and private bathroom.
Your Role
Provide loving care for our son: prepare simple, nutritious meals, feed milk, wash bottles, change nappies, bathe, and follow our routine.
Engage in fun activities: pram walks, park visits, nursery rhymes, and developmental play (TV limited to 15 minutes before bed).
Light chores during naps: laundry, folding, surface cleaning, hoovering (weekly deep cleaner separate, but opportunity available if desired).
Work alongside Mum, who’s home but stays out of the way, with access to a designated living room, full house, and large garden.
Drive safely for outings (must be confident in rural areas).
Who We’re Looking For
Experience with babies (newborn experience a big plus).
Warm, patient, creative, and routine-oriented.
Comfortable with dogs, countryside living, and fostering our son’s social and developmental growth.
Ideally interested in a long-term role with potential growth.
Future Opportunities
As we plan to grow our family, we’d love a nanny excited to evolve with us:
Increased hours/days to support Mum, newborn, and our son.
Possible 2 overnight shifts/week during newborn phase (8-10 weeks), with private bedroom/bathroom.
Potential full-time Monday–Friday role post-birth. If newborns aren’t your fit, the current role remains open, with separate hiring for short term newborn help.
Perks
Feel at home: help yourself to food, make lunch, enjoy unlimited proper coffee.
Flexible, consistent scheduling to suit your needs.
Supportive, appreciative family with a special Christmas thank-you gift.
