Welcome to Rising Robyn’s Home Nursery!
A small, nurturing home nursery where childhood is allowed to be messy, curious, adventurous and full of wonder.
Current availability: We currently have Friday availability only. Our Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday places are fully booked until September 2027. At Rising Robyn’s, we want children to feel as comfortable and secure as they would at home, while having all the opportunities, experiences and excitement of an early years setting. We keep our approach warm, personal and child-led, following the children’s interests and giving them plenty of freedom to explore, investigate and learn through real experiences.
Our days might involve making potions in the garden, getting muddy in the mud kitchen, hunting for minibeasts, growing fruit and vegetables, sharing stories, creating with loose parts or heading out on an adventure. We love getting out into our local community too, with regular walks, trips and days out giving the children opportunities to experience the world beyond the nursery.
Our environment has been carefully developed with early childhood in mind, with different spaces for imaginative play, creativity, sensory exploration, small-world play, physical development, stories, rest and outdoor learning. Our garden is a huge part of nursery life and gives the children space to explore nature, take appropriate risks and enjoy plenty of fresh air throughout the year.
Rising Robyn’s is a family-run setting, with my sister working alongside me as my assistant. Together, we provide a small and familiar team where children can build genuinely strong relationships and receive consistent, individual care.
Communication with families is incredibly important to us. We want parents to feel part of nursery life and work closely with families to understand each child as an individual. We celebrate progress naturally — from the huge milestones to those tiny moments that might not look like much to anyone else but mean everything to that child.
And, of course, there’s Skye, our gentle house cat and honorary member of the team! She enjoys spending time around the children but has her own quiet spaces to retreat to whenever she chooses. Having animals around provides lovely opportunities for children to develop gentleness, empathy and respect for other living things.
We are conveniently located in Westham, Pevensey, close to local bus and train links, and I hold a full UK driving licence with appropriate business insurance and suitable car seats, allowing us to take learning far beyond our front door.

My Experience
What sets us apart is the blend of professional expertise, family values and genuine passion for early years that we bring to our setting. I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through my Primary PGCE and have extensive experience as both a teacher and nursery practitioner. As a mum myself, I’m especially attuned to children’s emotional needs and committed to fostering their curiosity, independence and confidence in a safe, loving and nurturing environment.
My sister now works alongside me as my assistant, making Rising Robyn’s a real family-run setting. She brings her own warm, playful approach and has built lovely relationships with the children in our care. Working together means the children benefit from two familiar, consistent adults who know them well, while still enjoying the cosy, personal feel of a home nursery.
Families I’ve worked with in schools, nurseries and through my own setting often speak highly of the nurturing environment we provide and the strong, positive relationships we build with both children and parents. Being close to a local school also makes our setting convenient for many families.
We’re registered with a childminding agency that provides excellent support for both families and childminders. Their dedicated app gives families an all-in-one space for daily logs, learning updates, secure communication and important information, making it easy to stay connected with their child’s day.

My Availability
I offer childcare Tuesday to Friday, between 8 AM and 6 PM, with earlier starts available upon request where possible. My settling-in process is tailored to each family, with three free settling-in sessions to help your child feel happy, secure and confident before starting.
We currently have availability on Fridays only. Our Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday spaces are fully booked until September 2027. Please still feel free to get in touch about future availability, as we can add you to our waiting list or may be able to recommend other local childminders.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
Private childcare is charged at £7 per hour.
Government-funded childcare places are available for eligible children. Funded hours are provided free of charge, with no mandatory top-up or consumables fee.
Breakfast, snacks and tea/dinner (where applicable) are included. Parents provide a packed lunch and nappies.
Additional childcare outside a child’s funded entitlement is charged at £7 per hour.
For outings, the setting contributes up to £5 per child. Where an outing costs more than this, parents will be informed in advance of any optional additional cost.
Additional charges that may apply:
Late collection: £5 per 10 minutes
Emergency nappies: £1.50 each
These additional charges are not a condition of accessing funded childcare.
Funded places may be offered on a term-time or stretched basis, subject to availability and individual arrangements.
