Job Description: Nanny Housekeeper

Location:** Grays Thurrock, Essex
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Overview:
A loving family in Grays Thurrock is seeking a reliable and experienced Nanny Housekeeper to care for their 17-month-old child and assist with the arrival of their newborn in February 2025. This is a full-time, live-out position requiring dedication, flexibility, and a nurturing demeanor. The ideal candidate will have experience with young children, be confident in housekeeping duties, and be a safe driver.

Responsibilities:

- Childcare:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for a 17-month-old child and newborn.
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, including attending weekly classes:
- **Monday:** Swimming class at 10:30 AM
- **Tuesday:** Mini Athletics at 09:30am
- **Wednesday:** Hartbeeps class at 09:45am
- Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Manage daily routines including nap times, diaper changes, and feeding.
- Support with newborn care, including feeding, diaper changes, and settling the baby.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of both children at all times.

- Housekeeping:
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy household.
- Cook family meals and assist with meal planning.
- Manage household supplies and grocery shopping as needed.
- Ensure all play areas and children’s rooms are clean and organized.

- Driving:
- Safely transport the 17-month-old to and from scheduled activities.
- Run errands as needed, including grocery shopping and school runs in the future.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with experience caring for young children and newborns.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage household tasks efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license and confidence in driving with children.
- Up-to-date DBS check (or willing to obtain one).
- First Aid certification for children and infants (or willing to obtain one).
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of a growing family.

Desirable:

- Previous experience in a household with more than one child.
- A nurturing and patient approach to childcare.
- Local knowledge of the Grays Thurrock area and nearby amenities.
