About Me
Hi. I’m a mum of five children (ages 8-19) and am kept busy as a school Governor, Children’s Officer for the children’s Gaelic and Hurling clubs as well as a proactive member of the school Parents Association. In between I fit in a bit of paid work!
My Experience
I qualified as a Teacher in 1997 and have been involved in Education all my working life.
I tutor children from early years to the end of primary school (with and without special educational needs). I also teach children in Year 4 & 5 working towards the GL 11+ Assessment. It’s so nice (and rewarding) seeing their confidence and competence improve over time.
Before qualifying I nannied and babysat for a few families. I am still in touch with most of the families to this day.
In 2006 I was awarded the NPQH qualification. I was an Infant School Headteacher for twelve years.
More recently, I have been tutoring, nannying and babysitting as it gives me the flexibility I currently want with my own (5) children.

Safeguarding - Level 1 & 2 (GAA)
My Availability
You are best to contact me directly to arrange a mutually agreeable time. I’m available for Home School Tuition during the day. After school, evenings and weekends can be busy with my own children’s activities as well as tutoring, nannying and babysitting but I’m sure we’ll find some time together somewhere.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £45.00 per hour
I find face to face tuition is the optimum way for the children to develop confidence and do as well as they can, so I happily go to the family home to teach them there, feeding back to parents at the end of each session, if they are there. If not, I’ll send a follow up note on WhatsApp.

Jackie has been tutoring my 3-year-old daughter in early years learning activities and the difference has been amazing. She’s clearly very experienced with young kids and creates such a calm, patient environment for them to learn in.
My daughter’s confidence has grown so much since starting — she really looks forward to their sessions! Cannot recommend Jackie enough and we have been so fortunate to have found her on this app!
