Part Time Nanny Job in Cheltenham
About Me
I’m Rachel, Mum to 26 month old Theo & 14 week old Hugo.
We’re looking for someone lovely to come and help our family a couple of evenings a week, ideally Wednesday and Thursday, 5.30pm–7.30pm.
We have two young children and, like many people with small children, we are finding that the 5.30-7.30pm period is just… a lot ?
What we’re really looking for is an extra pair of hands. Someone who can come in at 5.30pm, get dinner warmed up and ready for when we get home, do a bit of tidying/laundry/general household stuff, and then help out with the children and the evening routine.
We’ll be around, so it’s not really a traditional babysitting or sole-charge nanny role. We’re just hoping to find someone who is happy to muck in and help us get through the late afternoon / evening.
The dream is that when we finally get the kids to bed asleep around 7.30pm, we can come downstairs and the house is reset — kitchen sorted, things put away, dishwasher on, etc. — so that instead of spending the next part of our evening resetting the house, we can actually sit on the sofa together, have a chat and watch some TV!
We’re looking for someone kind, reliable, sensible and practical who enjoys being around young children and doesn’t mind a bit of household chaos.
You might be a mum or grandmother, retired/semi-retired, a former nanny/nursery worker/teaching assistant, or just someone who has lots of experience with children and running a busy household. We’re really open to the right person.
Initially, it would be around 4-5 hours a week, but from January we’re hoping to increase the hours as my working week increases, so there could be an opportunity for this to become a more substantial
role.
If this sounds like something you might enjoy, or you know someone who might be a good fit, please drop me a message.
Rachel.
