About Me

Dear Family,
First of all, I would like to introduce myself and share my experience.
My name is Yolanda; I am Spanish and have been living in the UK for nine years. I am a caring, kind, and organized person—always punctual, eager to help in any way I can, and keen to keep improving. While my English isn't perfect—in fact, all the families I’ve worked with have asked me to teach Spanish to their babies—I make a real effort to understand and express myself clearly. I learn something new every day and work hard to improve my English; the little ones I care for help me with this.
I come from a large family: there are 11 siblings, and I have 38 nieces and nephews. I studied Social Relations (Labor Relations) at the University of Seville and am a qualified teacher of Spanish as a foreign language (ELE). I hold an Ofsted-recognized pediatric first aid certificate and a DBS certificate (London).
Since moving to the UK, I have worked as a full-time nanny for eight lovely families and part-time for another. I have also done temporary work as a cleaner in four- and five-star hotels and at a nursery.
I provided full-time care for Olivia (eight months old) and José (eleven months old), and I currently look after two wonderful sisters, Nair and Nala (aged three and six), on a temporary basis.
For nearly two years, I cared for three children (aged ten months, four, and seven). I took the older ones to school and their extracurricular activities, while my main responsibility was looking after the youngest, Stanley. It was a wonderful time, despite the impact of the pandemic. My contract ended because the family moved to Spain (September 2019 – August 2021).
I have cared for little Alice full-time since she was two months old. We later switched to a part-time arrangement, and I currently look after her two or three afternoons a week (November 2021 – present). For nearly three and a half years, I cared for Freya from the time she was three months old until she turned three and a half (as she puts it, I am her best friend). Mac was born in June 2023, and I have looked after him ever since (he is a delightful baby). We have gone on vacation to Spain, the United States, Brighton, and the beach... My contract ended because the family moved to the United States (Dec. 2021 – Sept. 2024).
I cared for Celine for a year, starting when she was just two weeks old; she is a lovely little girl. My contract ended in late December. Celine will now be attending a nursery near her home (Dec. 2024 – Dec. 2025).
For two and a half months, I cared for Isachi—an absolute sweetheart of a baby. It was an unforgettable experience, but my contract ended because her parents moved to Spain for five years (Feb. 2026 – June 2026) (Sep. 2026 - Oct. 2026)
My daily routine with the children involves getting them ready and going out for walks. Each day, I plan an activity—such as games, picnics in the park, swimming, or visits to children's museums, libraries, or local centers—and I organize age-appropriate educational games at home.
I am truly looking for a family—like the ones I’ve met here in London—where I can feel like part of the household and where they know they can count on me. That is why I love caring for young children: they learn from their parents and from me, and instead of remaining strangers, we become a big family, just like my own. I don't like saying goodbye; I always prefer to say "see you soon."
This is just a brief overview of me and my experience, but I have much more to share; it would be a pleasure to have the opportunity to introduce myself and tell you more about my background as a nanny.
