Professional Family Looking for Full Time Sole Charge Nanny
About Me
We are a family of 5 : Dad works in London, Mom works from home (but a full time job in an out-of-sight office). We are looking for a full time nanny for our two young boys with occasional help for our 8 year old daughter who is with us half of the time, starting in September or October. We are hoping to find someone who really integrates into our family and will stay with us for at least one year.
We are a French and American family who moved to Cambridge 4 years ago from London. We like being outside (parks, National Trusts, long bike rides), mornings at the cafe (we are right next to Stir!), dance parties, imaginary games, and laughing as much as possible.
We also have a large dog at home (lab mix) but he is pretty much sedentary and out of the way.
My Requirements
We are looking for a full time nanny for our two young boys with occasional help for our 8 year old daughter who is with us half of the time, starting in September or October. We are hoping to find someone who really integrates into our family and will stay with us for at least one year. Offering £16-18 gross per hour, depending on experience.
The main responsibilities will be for our toddler and infant who will be 2 years 9 months (oldest) and 9 months (youngest) in September 2026. Typical nanny duties: childcare, keeping them active, taking them to activities/parks/etc, potentially prepping food and leading meals, nap times, tidying after children, etc.
Dad is French so it would be a bonus if you could speak or understand French as we are working on having all of the kids fluent (the 8 year old is).
Typical schedule would be something like:
Monday: 9:30 - 5:30
Tuesday: 10:00 - 6:00
Wednesday: 10:00 - 6:00
Thursday: 9:00 - 6:00
Friday: 9:00 - 4:00
We are looking for someone who can be flexible. Mom will be going back to work in September and figuring out her schedule, but should settle in quickly. We know we will need help with school pick up and drop offs on Wednesdays and Thursdays (not all). We also travel fairly frequently and have family visiting from abroad so there will be times when less help is needed, but that will be communicated well in advance.
