About Me

My name is Thalia, I was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but have been in the UK for the last 7 years. I'm the 2nd of 3 daughters in my family, the most recent addition to our family has been a golden retriever named Oatmeal, two cats named Bao and Cashew!

My Experience

I worked as a nursery teaching assistant for 2 months - my main responsibilities included teaching children how to read and write (in English and Mandarin), taking care of them in the playground, helping teachers with what was needed in the classroom (i.e. pencil sharpeners, arranging classroom, sanitising desks), and handling them in the toilet. I have also dealt with kids struggling with ADHD and separation anxiety from their parents.

I worked as a nanny to an 18 month old girl, from March 2024 to September 2024. I had to stop working with the family as I was moving away from London to pursue my MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I currently work at a children's wellness centre in Chiswick, where I interact with the children that come in for therapy and assessments!
