My Summary

My Experience

I started off my journey into child care by babysitting and nannying different family friends. I have also supported my parents for over 5 years as an emergency foster carer. I have worked in childcare for over 10 years, starting off from 16 years old babysitting and nannying to working in a nursery as preschool room leader, a locum teaching assistant with SEN children, an emergency and temporary nanny with different children and families, and currently I am doing part time bank staff in a local nursery. My main responsibilities at the nursery were leading and supporting a team of up to 4/5 staff, ensuring the room ran smoothly and safely, organizing and planning child and adult led activities linked to the children’s interests, cohorts and next steps and weekend news. I also supported a range of different needs, including ASD, ADHD, ADD, OCD, emotional regulation, delayed development, social development, toilet training needs and physical delays. This experience has allowed me to become a nurturing and supportive nanny, whilst also encouraging the children to learn through a range of different types of activities and environments. I enjoy working closely with the family to ensure the child/childrens needs are being met and how I can ensure this on my behalf too.

My Qualifications

Level 3 NVQ in childcare, I have multiple from the nursery in allergies, different safeguarding, working with different ages.

My Availability

I am available 4 days a week.
