Disappointingly Bad.

So when we first met Bethany at her house, she seemed amazing. Really engaged and passionate about childcare. She was immediately our favourite choice.

Once she had enrolled everything was okay, but we noticed in photos (sent via WhatsApp. Nothing was EVER uploaded to the Tiney app, not any progress or anything) that she wasn't taking off my child's anti sickness wristbands all day, and also she was 10-15 minutes late nearly every day to pickup and drop off our child (which we paid extra for Including price increases). We understand that she has her own children she needs to get to and from school, so nothing was said.

Among holidays (her), illnesses (her children, which cannot be helped, I understand this.), and our child being ill. My child attended half the hours we had paid for, not including the half an hour lost everyday due to Bethany's failure to be punctual.

Cut to a few months later, I am walking back from the shop and noticed Bethany's minivan sat around the corner from my house ~15 minutes early, on her phone. I walk past and don't interact until I get home. My child saw me from the van window as I walked by and shouted me, making her notice me and drive to my house. Upon being asked about this, she said she was sorting out her child. Fine, whatever.

The next morning she is half an hour late, causing us to be late to an appointment. She was then 10 minutes early from dropoff. At this point along with what I had seen the day before, I had had enough. So I asked her what had happened in the morning to make her so late, as she hadn't offered an explanation or apologized, she said she had decided to go another way or something to pick up another child first, okay that's fine all I ask for is communication, a text in the morning to say "hey, I'm going to pick up another child first today, so I might be with you later than normal." Would've been fine. After this there was radio silence until Friday night, where we got sent a message saying she was terminating the contract. Now I don't care, if you don't like me, but that shouldn't be taken out on my child, who no longer gets to see her friends due to Bethany's inability to be criticised.

When Bethany DID have my child, the vast majority of the time (every week) they either went to "My Playful World" or "Sundown Adventure Land". Which isn't a problem, but it'd be nice for there to have been some variation.

There was no care, at one point 30 minutes after pickup (it's a 20 minute drive from my house to hers) she rang to tell us that "she's not doing anything" so she wanted to bring my child home.

Overall, Bethany seems to be a good person, that does the bare minimum, and acts like she is a saint. She has no punctuality, is incapable of accepting criticism and has flawed communication skills. I wouldn't recommend this childminder to anyone unless you want your kid to spend every week at Sundown Adventure Land. In which case, it's much cheeper to just buy an annual pass.
