I am 22 years old, born and grew up in South India where I spent a lot of time supporting families in my local community with childcare. I moved to the UK over two years ago and am currently studying a degree in Learning Disabilities Nursing in Bangor University. I enjoy arts and crafts, spending time in nature, and sports. I am fluent in English and Tamil.
My Experience
I have a lot of experience caring for children from birth to 11. This has been mainly by informal arrangements in the community I lived in most of my life. I have also worked in the kindergarten where my mother is the teaching lead over a period of six years. Since coming to the UK I have worked as a Support Worker for people with profound Learning Disabilities and physical disabilities. This role included support with feeding, personal care, cooking, and cleaning. I also take care of my 10-year-old cousin when at home.
My Qualifications
I recently completed a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. I have also done the Oliver Mcgowan training and other Care trainings for my role as a Support Worker.
