My Requirements
We’re looking for a nanny to look after our two young boys on Tuesdays and Thursdays whilst we’re working in London, and to support us in the evenings Monday-Friday with housekeeping, family dinner, bath and bedtime routines.
Contract: September 2025 - 31 December 2026 (approx. 16 months), start date is flexible and there is potential for the role to extend beyond 31 December 2026
Contracted weekly hours: 32
Hourly rate: Dependent on experience
Holiday: 28 days equivalent (including bank holidays) per year
Pension: 3% employer contribution for 5% employee contribution (salary sacrifice)
Location: Otford
Core hours:
Monday: 5.30pm-7.30pm
Tuesday: 6.30am-7.30pm
Wednesday: 5.30pm-7.30pm
Thursday: 6.30am-7.30pm
Friday: 5.30pm-7.30pm
Potential for additional hours on either a regular or ad hoc basis if wanted.
Responsibilities:
• All aspects of physical care of the children (daytime Tuesdays and Thursdays)
• Provision of a safe environment for the children
• Help support the development of the children
• Plan activities appropriate to the age of the children
• Take the children to and from appointments and any agreed activities
• Ad hoc collection of the children from nursery/pre-school (within Otford)
• Support with weaning
• Support with potty training in late 2026 (our 2-year-old is already potty trained)
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Wash/sterilise baby bottles and equipment
• Clean and tidy up after the children (toys, clothes, food mess, playroom, bedrooms etc)
• Care for the children when they are sick and administer medicine (with our prior permission)
• Assist with our 2 year old’s pre-school contact/journey book (taking and printing photos, preparing updates etc)
• Prepare nursery/pre-school bags
• Prepare family dinner and clean up after
• Assist with bath and bedtime routines
• Children’s laundry and support with family laundry
• Empty/load dishwasher
• Empty recycling and bins
• Accept deliveries and unpack groceries
• Supervise cleaners, tradespeople and other visitors (as/when required)
• Occasional ironing
Candidate requirements:
• Valid DBS check
• Childcare qualification and/or relevant experience
• First aid qualification
• Competent and safe driver
• Confident cook
• Regard for food hygiene
• Personal qualities: reliable, trustworthy, punctual and proactive
