About Me
Mum to 4 lovely and lively little boys and a former classroom teacher. Ofsted rated GOOD in 2025.
I offer;
- Play based curriculum with emphasis on organic learning & child led experiences.

I have memberships to Colchester Castle, Colchester Zoo, Markshall and other day trips further afield.
I am currently taking part in Hygge in the Early Years training and do regularly update my CPD. I love to cook and all meals provided are homemade (in line with the EYFS guidelines).
My Experience
I have worked in education for over 10 years in varying roles both in the UK and Australia.
I have 4 of my own young children and have a busy, lively, fun and nurturing household full of chatter and activity.
My setting was rated GOOD in 2025.
My Qualifications
All relevent statutory childminder qualifications are up to date including Pediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Designated Lead level 3. I also hold a Food Safety qualification. Currently working towards qualification in HYGGE in the Early Years.
My Availability
I will be reopening and downsizing after a short break in 2026 with new opening times. My set days are Monday-Thursday however will offer flexibility where possible.

I honestly can’t thank Carmen enough for everything she’s done for my son. The progress my child has made since being in her care has been incredible, especially with his speech and confidence. She provides such a loving, homely environment where the children are always learning, laughing, and having fun. It’s so clear how much she cares about each child and how much effort she puts into helping them thrive. My child absolutely loved going to Carmen’s house, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was so well looked after.
