About Me
Hi!
I'm Abigail, I am a 23 year old paediatric nurse. I have an enhanced DBS am first aid trained and am a paediatric nurse registered with the NMC. I have experience of caring from children from newborn to teenagers and am happy to work with children with additional needs.
I really enjoy getting out and about with the children if I am caring for them during the day and am keen to make the most of the great outdoors! Some trips have included local mazes, farms, soft play, train trips, nature reserves, museums. libraries and local parks.
I also really enjoy reading, games and arts and crafts inside.
I am responsible, patient and caring, and will work with you to meet the needs of your individual child(ren). I am also happy to undertake light housework and pet duties - especially if your children are young and will be nap or I am doing an evening/overnight sit.
Due to working shifts I am not available to always babysit the same days each week but often have flexible or last minute availability. I am particularly keen to work with families who require newborn (or baby in general) night nannying, but am of course happy to care for children of any age!
Whilst I take last minute bookings, I only accept these from families I already know for this. This is because for your child's safety and comfort I require a meet and greet before any sits.

My Experience
I have been babysitting for the last 10 years and have cared for children from newborns to teenagers, including children with autism, ADHD, asthma, allergies and epilepsy. I am a paediatric nurse so work with children everyday, including those with additional needs, ranging from newborns in NICU to teenagers. Additionally I have worked with children through sports, music and youth clubs for the last 10 years.
My Qualifications
I don't have childcare specific qualifications but I am a registered paediatric nurse. I also have a diploma in health and social care, 3 A-levels, 10 GCSE's and a L3 BTEC.
My Availability
I have flexible availability due to shift work. Therefore I am not always available the same time every week but am often available for last minute sits.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Maternity Nursing from £15.00 per hour (gross)
£12/hr general
£15/hr 3+ children
£15/hr sits <2hrs due to travel costs

Abigail looked after our little boy a handful of times and we found her to be extremely reliable, flexible and a pleasure to be around. She was extremely patient with our sensitive little boy and she was very calm and understanding. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a babysitter.
