Hola! I'm Yolanda but children normally call me Yoli.
I'm originally from Barcelona but I have been living in Scotland for more than 6 years. I speak Catalan, Spanish, English and a bit of Italian. I love arts & crafts, nature & outdoor play, storytelling, cooking & baking, playing all sorts of games, dressing up, singing & dancing nursery rhymes in different languages and playing my yellow ukulele.
My Experience
With almost 20 years of dedicated service in childcare and education, I have worked with a diverse range of learners, spanning from 1 year old to nearly adulthood. For example, as a Primary School Teacher in Spain or as an Early Years Practitioner in various nurseries across Dundee, Edinburgh, Fife and Perthshire.
In 2023 I started to do what it turned to be my passion and what I like the most: working directly with families, from all around the world (American, Argentinian, Brazilian, Canadian, Catalan, Finnish, English, German, Indian, Italian, Scottish, South African, Spanish and Tunisian), based in Crail, Cupar, Balmullo, Dundee, Letham, Leuchars, St Andrews, Cellardyke, St Monans, etc.
I loved the experience so much that I decided to create Yoli Poppins with the aim to offer Babysitting and Nanny services to more families in the area. At the moment I'm in the process of registering as a childminder in Cupar.

My Qualifications
I hold a HND Childhood practice at SCQF level 8 (with placement of 3 months in Como, Italy) and a BEd degree in Primary Education, specialized in Arts & IT. My dissertation was about programmable robots "Beebots". I'm a qualified Montessori Assistant (3-6 years) and also a Bookbug session leader.
Fully PVG checked and registered with the SSSC.
My Availability
At the moment, a part of being a weekly nanny of different families and a sporadic babysitter, I'm also in the process of registering as a childminder. This means that my availability can change in the future months and during this academic year 2025-2026.
