About Me
Hi, I’m Dannica! I’m a caring, responsible and naturally nurturing person, and as the eldest of four, caring for children has always been second nature to me.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and love creating a fun, engaging environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. I’m a big fan of interactive games, creative activities and getting involved in play rather than simply supervising from the sidelines. I’m even happy to bring age-appropriate games and activities with me!
I’m also extremely academically minded, so I’m more than happy to help with homework and schoolwork. I enjoy explaining things in different ways and helping children understand something rather than simply giving them the answer.
I’m also a professional hairdresser and regularly work with children. This has helped me become very comfortable communicating with different personalities and making children feel relaxed and at ease. I can also offer children’s hair services as an additional service where appropriate.
I’m friendly, patient, dependable and genuinely enjoy caring for children. My goal is always to make sure they feel safe, happy, entertained and well looked after.
My Experience
My childcare experience has mainly come from caring for my younger siblings and family members. I have two younger brothers, aged 16 and 9, who are both neurodivergent, as well as a younger sister who is 6.
Being involved in their care has given me hands-on experience with children of different ages, personalities and individual needs. It has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, flexibility and adapting the way I communicate depending on the child.
I’m comfortable helping with everyday routines, keeping children entertained, supporting with homework and schoolwork, and providing a calm and caring presence when parents aren’t around.
I also have an active DBS check, giving families extra peace of mind when choosing someone to care for their children.
As a hairdresser, I have the added experience of working with children regularly and helping them feel comfortable and confident.

My Qualifications
My academic background includes a degree in Business Management with Finance, Two PRINCE2 certifications, A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics + 12 GCSE's
My Availability
Currently a self employed so very flexible.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
I will require travel fees and I also have a minimum payment of £30 so anything below 2 hours will be £30 by default.
