About Me

Hey, I’m Emma! I am a 27 year old mum of 1 living in an East Yorkshire coastal town. I have a passion for helping children and young people succeed and be the best they can be and totally appreciate that this may look different for each child as an individual!

My Experience

I currently work in a secondary school with children in all year groups with SEND as a 1:1. Additionally, I work with other children that do not have SEND supporting their learning and guiding them through their GCSE’s. This work entails supporting them academically in all subjects and developing their skills in extra curricular revision sessions.

I also have 8 years of primary school experience, ranging from working in the classroom as a general assistant teacher, working in small groups for targeted interventions, and 1:1 work with children with SEND.

My Qualifications

I am a qualified Teaching Assistant. I have a foundation degree in Childhood Studies (full degree to be completed by May 2026). I am fully DBS checked and have additional training in behaviour and wellbeing for children and young people.

My Availability

As I work full time I will be available in the evenings any day of the week. I have some availability on weekends (childcare dependent) and also availability after school hours (3:30pm onwards) on a Thursday and Friday.
