My Experience

I currently work as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist SEN school, where I support children with a variety of additional needs. My role has given me valuable experience supporting communication, emotional regulation, behaviour, learning, personal development and children’s individual needs. I am experienced in adapting my approach to each child, following routines and support plans, managing challenging situations calmly and maintaining a strong awareness of safeguarding.

Before my current role, I gained experience in a mainstream primary school while studying childcare at college, working particularly with children aged 4–5. I have also previously provided babysitting in families’ homes for children aged approximately 6–8 and have lots of experience caring for and spending time with younger children within my own family.

Working with children professionally has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, communication and building trusting relationships. I am confident supporting play, activities, mealtimes, bedtime routines and general childcare, and I am particularly comfortable supporting children with SEND.

My Qualifications

I hold a Level 1 Diploma in Childcare and a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Diploma. I also currently work professionally as a Teaching Assistant within a specialist SEN school, where I receive ongoing training and practical experience in supporting children with a range of additional needs. My role involves safeguarding, supporting communication, emotional regulation, behaviour and learning, as well as adapting support to meet each child’s individual needs. I also hold an enhanced DBS check through my current employment.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.50 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

My standard rate is £15 per hour, although this may vary depending on the number of children, their individual needs and the type of childcare required. I am available for weekday evening childcare and during school holidays. I am also experienced in supporting children with SEND and am happy to discuss individual requirements with families.
