My Requirements

I am looking for a warm, reliable and experienced part-time nanny to care for my three-year-old daughter, Luna.

I’m hoping to find someone kind, patient and emotionally nurturing who will build a secure and positive relationship with my daughter, while providing calm and consistent boundaries.

Regular hours

* Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 7.00–8.30am
* Thursday: 5.00–8.00pm
* Approximately 7.5 hours per week
* Additional evening or weekend babysitting may occasionally be available by prior agreement

The role will include:

* Helping Luna get ready in the morning and dropping her off at nursery
* Collecting her from nursery on Thursday and caring for her at home
* Preparing or serving healthy meals and snacks—meals will usually already be prepared
* Supporting her evening routine, including dinner, bath and bedtime
* Reading, talking and playing with her to support her learning and development
* Planning age-appropriate play, activities or outings during any longer weekend sessions
* Encouraging kindness, confidence, independence and good manners
* Tidying her bedroom and play areas
* Cleaning up after her meals and activities
* Putting away her clothes
* Occasionally preparing simple meals for Luna in advance, where time allows

This is primarily a childcare role rather than a general cleaning position. However, I would appreciate someone who is naturally tidy and willing to take care of light household tasks directly connected with Luna.

The ideal person will be:

* Warm, affectionate and genuinely interested in children
* Calm and patient, with a positive approach to typical preschool behaviour
* Reliable, punctual and well organised
* Comfortable communicating openly and working closely with a parent
* Experienced in caring for children of Luna’s age
* Able to provide recent references
* DBS checked and paediatric first-aid trained, or willing to complete these
* A non-smoker
