About Me
I am a childminder based in Tiverton. I have had a long successful career in the care sector supporting people with learning disabilities and complex health needs. Since becoming a Mum of two wonderful children I have had a passion to change direction in my career and become a childminder. Since November 2024 I have been welcoming children into our family home, offering a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive giving children the best possible start in life.
I support children to access daily activities both in my home and going on trips out. We often go and explore different places from from Plymouth aquarium to local parks. I help to run a toddler group alongside other local childminders.
I provide children with the experiences and opportunities they need to grow and succeed. I will give children the skills and experiences they need for future success.
My rich curriculum widens opportunities for ensuring all children get the best possible start in life preparing them for the next steps in there learning and development.
My Experience
I have had a successful career in care supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex health needs. I had previously been a registered manager for 10 years and took pride in building open transparent relationships with families. After having children of my own it opened my eyes to changing career and opening my own childminding. This has without a doubt been the best decision I have made. I have completed all relevant training and am registered with Ofsted. I continue to join training and webinars to continue expanding my knowledge keeping in line with current legislation.
