About Me
I have been married for 40 years and we have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I am currently looking after Grandchildren a few hours a week.
Since leaving school I’ve always loved looking after children. As a full-time childminder, I
spent my working week ensuring every aspect of their welfare is catered for, including
supplying them with good wholesome food. I enjoy teaching the children how important
nutritious food is for their health. We do this through play, cooking, growing and sourcing
local produce (everyone enjoys visits to the strawberry picking farm!)
In my spare time I like gardening, home cooking, photography and walking.
My Experience
I was a full-time registered childminder from 1997 to 2022. Between 1986 and 1997 I was a full-time mum to own family. Before that I was a full-time Nanny between 1982 and 1986. When I left school in 1981 I was a Child Welfare Assistant at Chafyn Grove School, Salisbury.
Now I am seeking a part-time Nanny position again.
Worked for 6 months at Newhall hospital as a house keeper.
My Qualifications
Paediatric First Aid – 12-hour - 2025.
Foundation Plus - Child Protection & Safeguarding training for childminders - 2022.
Level 2 Food safety in catering - 2018.
CRB/DBS certified.
Childminder registration course - 1997.
NVQ 3 in Children’s care, Learning and Development. 9 modules - 2009.
Female Genital Mutilation, Recognising and Preventing - 2017.
Level 2 Health and Safety in the workplace.
Hygge in the early years. Wonderlust child nature study – Certificate of accreditation -
2021.
Plus: Policies paperwork and procedures. Every child a talker. Characteristics of
effective learning 1 and 2. Diversity and inclusion. ICO Certificate.
