I am looking for someone to get to know us as a family, who can help out with babysitting on an ad-hoc basis. My husband Bobby and I are really keen to start spending time together as husband and wife again - with no family nearby, date nights are none existent anymore, so having a babysitter who we know and trust who could help us out fairly regularly would be wonderful :)

Kenny will be 2 in April and is a funny, energetic and playful little boy. Our 2nd baby is due at the end of May, so we’ll very likely need more help from then. Should also mention that we have a lovely, crazy cocker spaniel, Dougie, so looking for someone comfortable with dogs.

Thank heavens for Sue 🤩

Going back to work after having a baby is tough, especially with your first, but Sue made that transition so easy for both me and my son Kennedy. You only have to meet her once to see what a natural she is around kids and having got to know her more as the months have passed, it’s clear to see how much she truly cares for the children she minds. Our son is now 2 and more often than not, the first thing he says when he wakes up is “Susu house?” which I think is testament to how happy and comfortable he feels in her setting.

Kennedy comes home from Sue’s with all these new words and skills that blow my mind sometimes - he’s not just sat in a room playing with toys, he’s constantly learning, exploring and growing - I’m often jealous of the day trips they have whilst I’m stuck at work! I also love how seriously Sue considers nutrition for the children. Each day we can see on an app what they’ve eaten and it’s expanded Kenny’s palette no end. Much more delicious home-cooked food than he’d get at home that’s for sure!

When we first started looking for childcare for Kennedy, we planned to find a childminder for the first year or so, then send him to a nursery, but we’ve done a complete U-turn on that now and want him to stay with Sue forever 😆 he’s thriving and happy which is all I could ever ask for. So if you’re reading this wondering whether to get in touch, take this as a sign to do it - you won’t regret it!
