I'm Ana, I’m a passionate and dedicated Visual Arts teacher who values open communication to truly understand and respond to my students' needs. With a dynamic and knowledgeable approach, I take the time to learn about each student’s artistic interests, ensuring a personalized learning experience. My lessons focus on hands-on experimentation with art history, materials, colours, and various artistic techniques, encouraging creativity and self-expression.

My Experience

I am a PYP Certified teacher specializing in Visual Arts, with a methodology focused on student agency, experimentation, and learning through experience. I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Textiles at the Royal College of Art. I believe in the IB and PYP approach, encouraging students to explore and express themselves through art. My lessons typically last 50-60 minutes.

I am trilingual, able to work with students who speak Spanish, English, or French. I have taught PYP Early Years and Primary Visual Arts at The English School in Bogotá (2023-2024) and served as a Substitute Teacher at Colegio Nueva Granada (2023).

I hold PYP Certification in "Making the PYP Happen" and have received special recognition for my IB Profile. My lessons are suitable for students aged 5-12, and I also offer Visual Arts IBDP tutorships.

My Qualifications

-BA in Fine Arts at Universidad de Los Andes, Bogotá (2023).
-PYP Teaching Certification in "Making the PYP Happen" (2023).
-C1 IELTS Exam.
-B2 DELF Exam.

My Availability

My availability may vary according to my MA program schedules at the RCA each week. However, I'm usually available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Weekends.
