About Me
Hi, I’m Ashvika, a first year university student studying medicine. I specialise in tutoring Biology, Chemistry and Psychology at all levels up to A - levels and I also offer tutoring in Maths, English and other subjects across various levels. Additionally, I provide guidance for students preparing for entrance exams, including the 11+ and UCAT helping them to develop the skills and the confidence needed for them to succeed. I’m a kind and patient individual which helps me a build a welcoming environment for my students where they can openly ask questions and check their understanding enabling them to progress in their learning.
My Experience
I have a broad teaching background working with students of all ages, from primary school to sixth form. In addition, I have hands on experience supporting children with disabilities which I developed through my volunteering work at Marjorie McClure school where I gained valuable skills in adapting my teaching approach to meet their unique needs. I use a flexible teaching approach to accommodate a wide range of learning needs. By employing strategies such as diagrams, analogies, and active recall techniques, I help students grasp complex concepts and retain information more effectively. My goal is to build student’s confidence in their abilities, enabling them to achieve their academic objectives.
My Qualifications
During my A-level’s I studied Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and successfully completed two entrance examinations to secure my place at university. In my GCSE’s I attained all 9’s and I am currently undergoing an undergraduate degree in medicine.
