Part Time Nanny Job in Little Chart Forstal
My Requirements
Regular Evening Mother’s Help / Part-Time Nanny – Newborn & Preschool Experience Essential
We are looking for a warm, reliable and experienced Mother’s Help / Part-Time Nanny to support our family on a regular basis in the evenings, ideally starting as soon as possible.
We have a 4-year-old daughter and are expecting our second baby very soon.
I am currently in the final weeks of pregnancy and finding evenings increasingly physically difficult, so we would love to find one consistent person who can become a trusted extra pair of hands for our family now and continue supporting us after our baby arrives.
Ideally we are looking for:
- Approximately 5:30pm–8:30pm
- Around 4–5 evenings per week, with exact days to be discussed
- The same person consistently, rather than ad-hoc babysitting
- Someone who can start soon and ideally continue with us after the baby arrives
- Good experience caring for newborn babies as well as young children
Initially, the role will mainly involve helping with our 4-year-old daughter's evening routine, including playing with her, dinner, bath/getting ready for bed, brushing teeth and bedtime.
Once our baby arrives, we would like the role to be flexible between both children.
It is very important to me that I can continue having one-to-one time with our daughter after the baby arrives, so we need someone who is genuinely confident caring for a newborn independently — holding and settling the baby, changing nappies, bottle feeding when appropriate and generally taking over baby care for periods of time while I spend time with our older daughter.
At other times, you may take the lead with our daughter's evening routine while I care for the baby.
I will generally be at home, so this is primarily about having another capable adult alongside me, rather than traditional sole-charge childcare.
We are looking for someone who is kind, calm, proactive and reliable, who can learn our family routine and then take initiative without needing constant direction.
Newborn experience is essential. Maternity nurse, postnatal, nanny or similar experience would be particularly welcome.
Enhanced DBS, references and paediatric first aid are strongly preferred.
Most importantly, we hope to find one lovely person who can become a familiar and consistent part of our family routine, rather than using different babysitters each week.
Please get in touch with some information about your experience with both newborns and young children, your availability and your hourly rate. We'd be very happy to arrange a chat and a couple of trial evenings to see if we're a good fit.
