My Experience

During school, I completed a one-week work placement at a local village nursery, where I supported staff with daily activities and gained valuable insight into early years care. After leaving school, I completed my Level 2 Childcare qualification through an apprenticeship, where I worked for three years across a range of rooms with different age groups. During this time, I acted as a key person for allocated children, supported their development through play-based learning, monitored progress, and worked closely with parents and colleagues to ensure a safe and nurturing environment. In March 2025, I moved to a new nursery setting to broaden my experience, develop my skills further, and gain new knowledge within early years education, where I continue to support children’s learning and development as part of a dedicated team.

My Qualifications

I have successfully completed all of my GCSEs and went on to study a BTEC in Children’s Play. I further developed my knowledge and practical skills by achieving a Level 2 qualification in Childcare, qualifying me as a Level 2 Practitioner.
I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate and have completed safeguarding and first aid training. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children, ensuring their wellbeing and development are always prioritised.
