About Me
Hi, my name is Eve and I have been an Ofsted Registered childminder since 2007 and love my Job. I have three children of my own, one at senior school, college and one at university. I have been with my husband for 20+ years and live in the WD25 area of Garston, Watford.
I provide a safe, fun and warm environment for children and offer a wide variety of toys, games and activities which I plan depending on the weather, age stage and ability of each individual child. We enjoy messy play such as glueing, play dough, crafts and painting. We also enjoy baking, Lego, role play/dressing up and basically having fun and learning through play.
I have a safe and secure garden with ride on cars, water table/paddling pool in the summer and lots of other outside toys and games for the children to enjoy. I attend regular toddler groups, we sometimes visit the library for story/ rhyme time. I have a Willows farm membership so visit most weeks, DJ's soft play membership also visiting the local parks most dry days after the school run.
I follow the Early Years foundation Stage (EYFS) (the same as a nursery) and during your child's day I will keep you informed and updated with your child's activities usually with photo's and what’s app messages giving you peace of mind your little one is settled and enjoying their day.

I have been working as a childminder for 16 years welcoming children into my home from ages 5months + and have 3 of my own, eldest being 19 so have an abundance of experience.
My last Ofsted inspection I was once again graded good in August 2019

This was the first time our son was going to a childminder and we were a bit nervous but from our 1st meeting with Eve, we were more at ease. She provided regular updates and had numerous activities to keep our son entertained. When our son is picked up at the end of the day, he is generally insistent on us taking him back to see Eve. He was very excited once he knew he was going to spend the day with her. We look forward to the next half term where he will get to spend time with such a patient and kind childminder.

I started my son with Eve in March of 2022 from a recommendation. My son was 27months at the time. I was just starting a new job and was worried about everything. Eve made the settling in period seamless! My son fell in love with her and I could tell he was happy. He is always really excited on days when he’s with her mainly because she has a kind way with children that makes them really comfortable. He gained new skills very quickly with Eve and always comes home to show me.
My son has respiratory issues and her experience with this gave me added peace of mind that he was being well looked after.
Between getting him to try new foods to encouraging his love for animals and the outdoors, making keepsakes on special occasions and encouraging his independence we’re really happy we went with her.
Although my son now goes to Nursery 4 days a week for easier logistics, I’ve still kept one day with Eve just because of the value and difference she has made and continues to make with him and our family.
We couldn't recommend her enough!

Eve is quite simply an exceptional childminder and I am so happy we found her for my daughter. We had a different childminder for my eldest daughter who was lovely but Eve is in a league of her own. The care, attention and variety of experiences provided for the children is of the highest standard - soft play, the park, toddler groups, arts and crafts, Willows farm plus more all on a regular basis. I get daily updates with photographs and descriptions which are a highlight. Eve is also invested in the development of my daughter, she highlights areas we can work on together and supports her development with relevant activities too. Eve is kind, friendly, professional and a pleasure to deal with, and we think of her as an extended family member. I honestly can’t recommend her enough!

We were so lucky to have found Eve! My daughter absolutely adores her. Eve is so kind and caring towards the children she takes care off. She is so helpful and accommodating, is always happy to answer any of my questions, and always keeps me up to date on how my daughter was doing in the day. I feel at ease when my daughter goes to her, she always comes home happy and content. She enjoys lots of activities with her, soft play, toddler groups, park, arts and crafts, outdoor play, farms. She is an exceptional childminder and is amazing at what she does. I will definitely be recommending to my friends and family when my daughter moves on.

Eve has looked after my little boy from being 9 months old and I trust her completely. She is absolutely amazing with him and cares deeply about his well-being and development. He has new experiences every week and has visited some fantastic places - the daily pics and updates are heartwarming. He has a beaming smile every time he is dropped off and we cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for him. I was really anxious about going back to work and leaving him but Eve made it incredibly easy. He is one happy boy and we are very happy parents! Thank you Eve. :-)
