My Summary

My Experience

I have been fortunate to gain hands-on experience in childcare over the past 2 year. This has included supporting two separate families by caring for five children in an after-school setting. My role involved providing care from Monday to Thursday, where I focused on creating a safe, relaxed, and engaging environment. This included preparing snacks, supervising play, and keeping the children entertained while their parents completed their working day. I also gained experience working with a family whom had a young lad with special needs, I would help him getting ready for a school, meet him after school, take him on trips and also build a bound with the family. I have also cared for a baby between 6-9 months for a couple of hours every so often to just help mum out whilst she did work, we would go for a walk, to the park, play with toys at her house and a variety of other things that needed doing, I sometimes watched her older boys around 4 & 6 on holidays or weekends.

I was also flexible and reliable, regularly staying later when needed and offering additional babysitting support outside of the usual weekday schedule.

Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and resilience, taking pride in seeing tasks through and supporting others to the best of my ability. I have experience working with individuals of varying ages, abilities, and disabilities, across a range of environments. These experiences have helped me develop a strong understanding of individual needs and how to provide thoughtful, person-centred support on a daily basis.

I have worked in high-pressure and demanding environments that have allowed me to expand my skills, strengthen my confidence, and continually develop my professional knowledge. Working closely with both individuals and their families has enabled me to build trusting relationships and provide well-rounded support, particularly during challenging periods.

I am comfortable working in a variety of settings, including individuals’ homes, within the community, and when appropriate, offering care from my own home. I value adaptability and always aim to provide consistent, reliable, and compassionate care

My Availability

I am currently flexible and available Monday to Friday, as I am on maternity leave at present. However, maternity leave is not something I wish to continue long-term, and I am actively seeking opportunities that allow me to return to work in a flexible and fulfilling way. I have a three-month-old baby and a small dog, and I am accustomed to balancing childcare and pet care within my home environment. I occasionally care for other dogs alongside my own baby, and I value creating a comfortable, calm, and well-managed home setting.

I am also happy to offer care outside of standard Monday-to-Friday hours, such as babysitting, provided this is arranged in advance.

As my workload develops, I am confident in my ability to create a structured and suitable schedule that works well for both myself and the families I support. I am organised, adaptable, and committed to maintaining a healthy balance that allows me to provide consistent, high-quality care.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

I would like to start a set rate at £15.00ph. This was a standard rate I charged when I’d cared for previous children.

I’ve been on higher rates for the special needs boy and some other care I’ve provided for adults or elderly people. This has been up to £25.00ph.

I am more than happy to discuss pay.
