Saffron
Babysitter in Stevenage
My Summary
About Me
Hi! I'm Saffron. I love spending time with children and creating a fun, safe and
nurturing environment where they can feel comfortable being themselves. I'm currently a Learning Partner at a special needs school, and I'm also a qualified yoga instructor, so l really enjoy encouraging creativity, confidence and mindfulness through connection.
Before this, I worked for a year as a Child Care Paralegal in the family law department, supporting families and children through what were often very difficult times. That experience taught me the importance of patience, empathy and creating a sense of safety and trust.
My friends often describe me as "the colour yellow" because I'm warm, welcoming, approachable and chatty. I love getting to know people, building genuine connections and making children feel seen, heard and valued. Whether that's getting stuck into arts and crafts, playing outside, reading stories, baking or simply being a calm, reassuring presence, I always aim to bring plenty of energy, kindness and fun.
I'm happy to help with school pick-ups, homework, meal preparation, playtime, bedtime routines and light household tasks to help make family life that little bit easier. I'd love the opportunity to get to know your family and become someone your children look forward to spending time with!
Please do text me if you would like to call or meet to have a chat!
My Experience
I've always enjoyed working with children and have been looking after my younger cousins since they were babies, as well as regularly babysitting for family friends and neighbours.
Through these experiences, I've become confident caring for children of different ages, adapting to their individual personalities and routines.
Alongside this, I currently work as a Learning Partner in a special needs school, supporting children with a wide range of additional needs and helping to create an environment where they feel safe, understood and able to thrive.
Before this, I spent a year as a Child Care Paralegal in a family law department, where I worked on cases focused on children's welfare, rights and safety. That role gave me a strong understanding of safeguarding, the importance of child-centred care, and how every child deserves to feel heard, respected and protected.
