My Requirements

We are a warm, active family in London looking for a full-time nanny to join us long term and become an important part of our family life as we raise our two young children (currently aged 2 years and 2 months).

We are looking for someone nurturing, dependable, and proactive to care for both our baby and toddler. Our ideal nanny enjoys creating a calm, engaging environment and is confident managing the changing needs of two children as they grow. This role would work well for a hard worker who wants a steady gig with one family - where they can really ingratiate and get to know us and our kids very well. We’re looking for someone interested in long term work, who is happy to help raise our kids like a third parent.

*Role Overview*
Your primary responsibility will be caring for both children and supporting their development, routines and wellbeing.

Our older son will begin nursery in the mornings from September, during term time only. During nursery hours, the role will focus primarily on our baby and child-related responsibilities. However, we would expect full care of both children during school holidays, nursery closures and periods of illness.

*Working Hours*
The role is made up of a mix of 50 fixed hours per week and 20 flexible hours per month.

Fixed hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–6:30pm

The additional flexible hours (20 hours/month) are included as part of the role and will be scheduled in advance. Typical use of flexible hours may include:
- One weekend day per month (approximately 10 hours)
- ?Three to four evenings per month (approximately 10 hours total)


*Salary and Pension*
We are offering a £50,000 fixed salary, which provides you with a stable, predictable income. This will be paid every month via PAYE /bank transfer. We will be your employer and pay your national insurance. You will earn 20 days of annual leave per year +8 bank holiday holidays, and have the option of opting into a pension scheme if you wish. Unfortunately, this is nonnegotiable as we are unable to pay you by other means (cash, self employment)

*Notice periods:*
At least 7 days’ notice will be provided for evening requirements. At least 14 days’ notice will be provided for weekend working. Where possible, we will aim to agree schedules collaboratively and provide additional notice whenever we can.

*Responsibilities*
- Full care of both children
- ?Planning age-appropriate activities and outings
- ?Supporting routines, naps and feeding
- ?Preparing children’s meals and snacks, including grocery shopping when necessary
- ?Nursery drop-off/pick-up where needed
- ?Supporting developmental milestones and learning through play
- Washing, organising and maintaining children’s clothing and belongings
- Keeping children’s areas tidy and organised
- ?Managing nursery bags, supplies and essentials

*Travel*
We occasionally travel as a family and would ideally like our nanny to join us for some trips. We would ask for availability for up to 20 travel days per calendar year (domestic and/or international), subject to agreement.

At least 30 days’ notice will be provided for all travel. All travel, accommodation and related expenses will be covered in full, but we are unable to provide a separate travel day rate. If travel includes weekend days, equivalent time off in lieu will be provided. We recognise that international travel may not always be possible and would aim to discuss travel plans collaboratively and agree arrangements in advance.
