About Me
Hello! My name is Ava, I am 22 years old living just outside of Canterbury.
I am currently looking for some short term ; full-time or part time / ad hoc work. Having just left my previous Nanny job of almost two years, I am now working ad hoc for a lovely family of five; B8, B5 & G3. However, I would love to do some additional hours so please don't hesitate to reach out and discuss details. I am comfortable with a busy schedule and working longer hours if needed.
I love keeping fit by going for long walks along the seaside / around the village, or going to my local barn for some horse riding. Running around after your energetic toddlers, tweens (or teens!) or taking the dogs for a walk will be no problem for me. In my free time you will find me drawing, cooking, reading, crafting or journaling - there will always be plenty of things for your little ones and I to do, to keep busy!
I love to keep my space clean and organised, learning a lot of my skills on a 3 - week yachting course I took in 2023 , training to a seven star service standard. I hold a clean basic DBS check, along with a full UK drivers license. I am trained in first aid and would be happy to have any further checks/courses when requested.
My Experience
As stated, my last nanny job of almost 2 years consisted of caring for two lovely boys (and their Labrador) the youngest 11 and the eldest 15. The majority of my time was focused on the youngest. An average day for me would include arriving to the house at 7:00am, making the boys breakfast, taking them to school on time, dog/house sit during the day. In the evening; school pick up, prepare dinner, then drop them off or pick them up to/from their after school club. And then finally I would get the youngest ready for bedtime (brush teeth, shower, complete homework, piano practice etc..) then hold down the fort until the parents returned home from work! Since then, the kiddos have outgrown the need for my full time care and as it goes I am now looking for a new family to take on!

My most recent experience is with a family of five (as mentioned above.) Primarily, I have been caring for G3, while B5 & B8 attend a summer camp. Recently (while the weather permits) we have been on lots of adventures; Exploring at the zoo, playing pretend at the indoor soft play, plenty of picnics at the park, ice-creams on the beach and jumping around at the trampoline park to name a few!
My Qualifications
I attended St Edmunds School from lower to upper school, finishing my final year early in 2020 due to covid. I then went on to Canterbury College in 2021 studying Production & Performance Arts, earning a merit my first year and a distinction my second.
In 2023 I earned a range of certificates after completing a three week yachting course in the Isle Of Wight. Relevant certificates listed here;
