Experienced Part-Time Housekeeper/Nanny – Monday to Friday

We are a warm and friendly family looking for an experienced, reliable and caring Housekeeper/Nanny to join us Monday to Friday, initially from 1pm–5pm (20 hours per week).

We have three lovely children, aged 5 , 3 yo and 7months old and are looking for someone who we can genuinely trust and who will hopefully become a valued part of our family. We would love to find someone looking for a long-term position who enjoys building a close, friendly relationship with the family they work for.

About the role

This is a combined Housekeeper/Nanny role, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable with both household duties and childcare.

The days will have some structure, but the balance between housekeeping and childcare may change depending on what is needed that day. While in most cases the role will be more household-focused before school pick-up and more childcare-focused afterwards, we don’t expect the role to be rigidly divided into specific hours.

Household duties may include:

* General cleaning and keeping the house organised
* Particular attention to the kitchen and bathroom
* Tidying the children’s rooms and play areas
* Ironing and laundry
* General household organisation
* Preparing simple family meals would be a big bonus

Childcare will include:

* Collecting our son from school at 3:30pm
* Collecting our daughter at the same time on certain days
* The school is very close to our home and within walking distance
* Taking the children to after-school activities
* Playing with them and keeping them entertained at home
* Taking them to the park or on other outings
* Helping with their afternoon routine and making sure they are happy, safe and well cared for

The role will naturally vary from day to day. If more childcare is needed on a particular day, household tasks can be adjusted accordingly, and vice versa. We are looking for someone flexible, proactive and able to use their initiative.

School holidays

Some additional help may also be needed during school holidays, so flexibility and availability during holiday periods would be a bonus. We can discuss the arrangements and hours for school holidays with the right candidate.

The person we are looking for

Previous childcare/nanny experience is essential, particularly experience with young children.

We are looking for someone who is:

* Flexible and happy to adapt to what the family needs

We would particularly love to find someone who sees this as more than just a job — someone who we can build a relationship with.

Spanish-speaking would be a wonderful bonus, although it is not essential.

Hours

Monday–Friday, 1pm–5pm (20 hours per week) initially.
