About Me

Hello, I’m Helen, the proud owner of Joy’s Tiny Tots.

Joy’s Tiny Tots is a highly rated, home-based childcare setting offering a warm, nurturing and enriching environment for children to thrive. Based in a spacious three-bedroom home with a large garden and dedicated playroom, my setting has been carefully designed to provide a safe, stimulating and inspiring space where children feel a true sense of belonging.

I am extremely proud of the reputation Joy’s Tiny Tots has built within our local community. Families value the strong relationships I form with both children and parents, and the high standard of care and education I provide. Every child in my setting is treated with the same care, respect and attention as my own children, ensuring they feel secure, valued and supported at all times.

I live with my fiancé and our two daughters (aged 6 and 3). Both my fiancé and I hold enhanced DBS checks and are fully first aid trained, giving families complete peace of mind.

My setting is Montessori and Waldorf inspired, thoughtfully planned to create rich learning opportunities that promote independence, creativity and curiosity through meaningful play. I focus heavily on practical life skills, confidence building and fostering a love of learning from an early age.

Due to low adult-to-child ratios, children benefit from significant individual time and tailored support to help them reach their full potential. Daily enrichment activities include yoga, sports, arts and crafts, musical exploration, cooking, outdoor learning and Montessori practical life experiences.

I also offer wraparound care for children attending Layer Primary School and Layer Pre-School, providing reliable and consistent care before and after the school day in a familiar, home-from-home environment.
