About Me

I lead fun and engaging online creative writing tuition - one-to-one or in small groups.

At home, I am a mum to two daughters (who are growing up way too fast!) and two gorgeous dogs. I love being creative and you can normally find me writing a story, learning a new craft (currently this is crocheting), using digital design software or DIY-ing.

My Experience

I have over 20 years of experience in education and a strong passion for writing stories and being creative!

I am a teacher, tutor and SEN specialist who wants to help children and young people find the passion for creativity and storywriting; unlocking their imagination without the constraints of the curriculum. Over my career, I have had the pleasure of teaching a whole range of ages abilities and personalities; what I have come to learn from this is that children and young people learn best when they are enthused and motivated about the subject presented.

I convey that passion in the strategies and manner in which I deliver my creative writing courses.

I am a firm believer in "When a flower doesn't bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower," a quote by Alexander Den Heijer. I continually reflect on my practice and the activities that I set to adapt and suit every learner.

My Qualifications

I qualified as a primary school teacher in 2004 and have been teaching and tutoring ever since, As well as a qualified SENCo and specialist SENCo, I have also gained qualifications as a copywriter.
