About Me
Hi! I’m Lexie, a university student currently studying Primary Education with QTS. I have a genuine passion for working with children and have several years of experience caring for children from babies through to primary school age.
I’m friendly, patient, reliable and confident caring for children with a range of ages and needs. I really enjoy getting involved with children rather than simply supervising them, whether that’s playing games, doing arts and crafts, reading, helping with homework or keeping them entertained with activities.
Through both my university course and previous childcare roles, I have developed a strong understanding of children’s development, behaviour and wellbeing. I’m also comfortable with routines such as preparing snacks and meals, helping with homework and completing bedtime routines.
I’m looking for part-time babysitting alongside my university studies and would love to find local families who need either regular or occasional childcare.

I have several years of experience working with children across a variety of childcare and educational settings.
Maidstone Leisure Centre Holiday Club – 3+ years
I have worked with children aged approximately 5–12, planning and supervising games, sports, arts and crafts and other activities while ensuring children are safe and engaged throughout the day.
Lockmeadow Crèche – 1 year
I worked with babies and young children aged approximately 6 months–4 years, giving me experience caring for much younger children and supporting their individual needs and routines.
Lockmeadow Leisure Centre Messy Play – 3 years
I worked with children aged approximately 4–10, helping to organise and supervise creative and play-based activities.
St Margaret’s Messy Play Club – 1 year volunteering
I volunteered with children aged approximately 4–8, supporting activities and helping to create a fun and welcoming environment.
Primary school experience
As part of my Primary Education with QTS degree, I have also completed school placements, giving me further experience working directly with primary-aged children in a classroom environment and supporting their learning, behaviour and wellbeing.

My Qualifications
I have 11 GCSEs at grades 7–9 and 3 A-Levels in Biology, Psychology and Sociology.
I am currently studying for a BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS at Nottingham Trent University, which includes professional placements within primary schools.
Through my degree and previous childcare roles, I have experience working with children from 6 months to 12 years old, including supporting children's learning, development, behaviour and wellbeing.
My Availability
I am currently available during university term time for regular or occasional babysitting.
I have good availability on Wednesdays and Fridays, as well as weekends and evenings. I may also be available on other weekdays depending on my university timetable, as my university sessions are generally only a few hours at a time.
I am happy to discuss individual requirements and can potentially offer after-school care, evening/date-night babysitting and weekend childcare.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
