My Experience

I worked for two years as a one-to-one Learning Support Assistant in a school, supporting a four-year-old girl with special educational needs until she was six. My role was primarily focused on her individual care, development, learning and wellbeing, while also supporting the wider classroom when appropriate.

I also spent a year in Australia as an au pair, caring for two boys aged four and six. This involved becoming part of their family and providing day-to-day childcare and activities.

I am also mum to two boys, aged five and seven, so I have extensive hands-on experience of caring for children, understanding their routines and needs, keeping them entertained and managing the practicalities of everyday family life.

My Qualifications

I have two years’ professional experience working as a one-to-one Learning Support Assistant in a school, including supporting a young child with special educational needs. I also have a year of experience as an au pair in Australia and extensive hands-on childcare experience as a parent. I hold a current DBS check.

My Availability

I am currently available Monday to Friday and am looking for a regular arrangement of 2–3 days per week. I am flexible about which days and would be happy to agree these with the right family.

I am particularly interested in daytime and school-day childcare. I am also happy to do school or nursery pick-ups where required.

From around 3pm, my own two boys, aged five and seven, will be with me following their school pick-up. I am therefore looking for a family who is comfortable with their child spending the after-school period alongside my boys. They are friendly, welcoming and very used to having other children around them.

I am happy to discuss the exact hours and arrangement with a family depending on their needs.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
• Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)

My nanny rate is £16 per hour gross. My focus is on providing attentive, hands-on childcare and keeping children happy, safe and engaged. I am happy to take children to parks, playgroups, classes, activities and other suitable outings.

I am looking specifically for childcare-focused roles and do not offer housekeeping, cleaning or cooking as part of my nanny service.
