About Me
Hello! My name is Jess, and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in a warm, welcoming family home where children can learn, play and thrive.
I live with my partner and our two young sons, who inspired me to become a childminder. Becoming a parent reinforced my passion for working with children and gave me the opportunity to combine my love of early years education with providing a nurturing home environment where children feel safe, valued and happy.
As an Ofsted-registered childminder, I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to support every child’s learning and development. I believe children learn best through play, so I plan fun, engaging activities based on each child’s individual interests, abilities and next steps, helping them to develop confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning.
Building strong partnerships with parents is incredibly important to me. I understand that nobody knows your child better than you, and by working closely together we can ensure they receive the best possible support both at home and in my setting.
I provide regular updates on your child’s learning and development, including photographs, observations and special moments such as new achievements, exciting discoveries, funny conversations and milestones, so you can feel connected to their day while they’re in my care.
Each month we explore a different learning theme through a variety of hands-on activities, crafts, outdoor experiences and play opportunities. Every activity is carefully planned around the children’s interests and developmental needs to encourage curiosity, creativity and confidence.
My home offers a dedicated playroom designed especially for children, providing a safe, stimulating environment where they can explore, learn and have fun. For added security, the playroom is fitted with CCTV to help safeguard both the children and myself. All areas of my home used by children are thoroughly risk assessed and adapted to create a safe, child-friendly environment that quickly becomes a true home from home.
I aim to provide a caring, inclusive and nurturing setting where every child feels loved, respected and encouraged to reach their full potential.
My Experience
Working with children has always been my passion, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a career doing something I truly love. Over the past 10 years, I have gained a wealth of experience across a variety of childcare settings, including a specialist SEND provision. Throughout my career, I have worked as a nursery practitioner, progressed into a nursery management role, and worked as a childminding assistant. These roles have equipped me with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support children of all abilities, providing high-quality care while creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can learn, grow and flourish.
My Qualifications
I hold a Level 5 Foundation Degree in Early Years and am committed to maintaining the highest standards of professional practice. I have a current Paediatric First Aid qualification, up-to-date safeguarding and food hygiene training, and an enhanced DBS check, giving parents peace of mind that their children are cared for in a safe, secure and professional environment. I also regularly update my knowledge through ongoing training and professional development to ensure I provide the best possible care and learning experiences for every child.
My Availability
I am open Monday to Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm. I am available to do school runs for causeway green primary school.
My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Hourly rate:
£5.00 per hour
Full days:
7:00am-6:00pm- £50 per day
Full time spaces:
4/5 full days- £45 per day
Half days:
7:00am-12:30pm/12:30-6:00pm- £25.00 per day
School runs:
Collection-£6.00
Drop off-£6.00
Both drop off/collection on the same day- £10
(Hourly rate applies for the duration of time the child spends in my care)
Meals:
Breakfast/snacks- Included free of charge
Lunch- £3.00 per day
Tea-£3.00 per day

Jess has looked after my girl since she was 9 months old the amount of stuff Jess does with the kids is crazy they are always doing learning fun activities making there day fun my girl always looks forward to going to Jess she enjoys it there that much do not hesitate to use Jess for child care great service and great person

Jess looked after my little boy when i went back to work and always gave him the most love and care I could have asked for! So attentive and kept me up to date and included us as much as possible!
Jess has such a calming nature about her just what you want for your little one 🥰

I’ve have known Jess for 14 years and in this time have watched her blossom into an amazing childminder. She has looked after my 3 boys and treats them as her own. They love spending time with their ‘aunty Jess’ and are forever asking to go and play at her house. I couldn’t recommend a better childminder.

I worked with Jess a good few years ago in a nursery setting, where she looked after my son exceptionally well. When Jess left nursery to work within a childminding setting I made the decision to take my son out of nursery and put him back in Jess' care. It was the best decision I made, within a few months my son was thriving and he'd learnt so much. Jess is very caring, loving and communicates well with parents. My son is now in school and still remembers Jess. Jess gave him so many amazing experiences and I'll be forever grateful for her giving him the best start in his education. I'd recommend Jess to anyone she's fab

I started working with Jess in a nursery setting a few years ago, Jess was always amazing at her job and I got to witness first hand how she loves and cares for each child. Jess then decided to move onto childminding and now looks after my little girl and has done since I returned back to work in 2022. I couldn’t fault Jess in any way, she is amazing with the children and always gives regular updates throughout the day. I would 100% recommend Jess to any parents, my daughter loves Jess and loves being in her care :)

We met Jess in 2019 in the childcare setting she was working for as a childcare assistant.
Jess has helped looking after all three of my children from 8 months and has been through all their milestones along the way. My eldest is now at school and still asks can she go to Jess and Jenny some days as she loved it there so much!
Jess currently helps look after my youngest 2 , who both absolutely love her Aswel. All my kids have excelled in all areas in their care.
Jess is great at communicating concerns , and is very helpful if advice is needed etc. she informs me of all the things they get up too , sends pictures and really just loves the kids as if they were her own!
I can't recommend her enough , your child will be in great hands.
