My Experience
I have developed practical childcare experience through both professional and family settings. I currently work as a nursery assistant, supporting the care and development of children under 2 years old. I also occasionally babysit a 2.5-year-old child.
From May 2024 to July 2025, I worked part-time as a nanny for a family with 7-year-old twin boys, caring for them three afternoons a week after school. My responsibilities included:
* Providing a safe and engaging environment
* Supervising games and creative activities
* Supporting daily routines, including preparing meals
* Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment
I have also helped a close friend care for her daughter from birth to age 3, supporting feeding, daily care, play and development. I regularly collected her 9-year-old son from school and cared for both children, arranging activities such as reading, singing, dancing, ball games, outdoor play and swimming.
I occasionally provide babysitting for neighbours during evenings and weekends.
In 2022, I volunteered as a nursery assistant at Montessori Community School, supporting staff with daily routines and helping to supervise young children. I continue to work in an early years setting and have gained further experience supporting children under 2.
