Hey!
My name is Leanne (27 years old) and I have a passion for working with children. I will have completed my MSc in Speech and Language Therapy at UCL I August, and hoping to start a nannying job straight away. I am hoping to find a nannying job for the period of August - December since I will not receive my Health Care Practitioner Certification to practice as a speech and language therapist until November.
With over 5 years of experience with kids, I have had the pleasure of caring for kids of all ages and educational needs. I enjoy creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
I love playing games and doing arts and crafts to reading stories and exploring the outdoors. At the same time, due to my qualification as a speech and language therapist, I have an excellent insight into child language acquisition and subsequent needs of children with SEN.
I am reliable, responsible, and always punctual. I also have an enhanced DBS certificate. I understand the importance of communication and happy to keep you updated on your child's day.

My Experience
I have lots of experience working with and looking after children with different needs in various settings throughout my placements on my masters course. I have worked in a high school (11-16 years old) with SEN children as a Specialised teacher assistant as well as three years experience volunteering at the charity Sense with a Cerebral palsy young person. I have lots of babysitting experience with my two younger sisters, a 5 year old niece, and various family friend's younger children (2-15 years old). I have had placements in various settings including working with disabled young people in the community in Ealing, learning disabled young people in Islington, and adults with acquired conditions in The Royal London Hospital.
My Qualifications
Currently, studying MSc Speech and Language Therapy at UCL.
(1st) Ba Linguistics from the University of Manchester.
I have an Enhanced DBS check.
Completed safeguarding training through SENSE and Manchester Communication Academy.
Completed the Statutory and Mandatory Training (SMT) for NHS placements.
My Availability
From August I will be free mon-fri morning to evening. I will also be available to work occasionally during the weekend.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
