My Experience

I currently work in a nursery and have mainly cared for babies and younger children aged around 6 months to 4 years old. I have worked there for over a year as part of my childcare apprenticeship.

My responsibilities included feeding, changing nappies, supporting nap routines, planning play activities, supervising indoor and outdoor play, comforting children, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting children’s development through daily routines and learning activities.

My Qualifications

I am currently a qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner.
While working in a nursery setting, where I have gained over a year of hands-on experience caring for babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children. Through my apprenticeship and practical experience, I have developed knowledge in areas such as safeguarding, child development, health and safety, supporting children’s routines and creating engaging activities to support learning and development.

My experience has mainly been within baby and toddler rooms, where I have supported children with feeding, naps, sensory play, communication and emotional development. Working in a nursery environment has helped me become confident, responsible and calm when caring for children in busy settings.

Alongside my childcare experience, I am continuing to develop my skills through practical learning and day-to-day experience working closely with children and families.

we can discuss times outside of what i have on, i just work weekdays, so would have to plan after work times x
