Hello, I'm Susie! I am a kind and cheerful childcare practitioner in my early 30s. I am deeply empathetic, patient, and I also bring lots of laughter through playful silliness! In my spare time, I love baking, cooking, crafting, museums, nature walks, and movies. I also love reading and writing, and I recently graduated with a Masters in Creative Writing. In my childcare practice, I love to enable children to learn through meaningful play, and to support and celebrate their individual growth, step by step. My Experience
I have over 4 years of experience in a nursery childcare setting, where I have worked as a keyworker for preschool children (ages 3-5). I am well-practised in creating a range of fun and engaging activities which provide children with opportunities to explore the experiences/outcomes of Scotland's Curriculum for Excellence. I love to support children in their individual development, be it social skills, physical ability, emotional regulation, literacy progress, and more. It's such a joy to be part of a young child's growth journey.
For the past year, I have also worked with the children aged 0-3 in my nursery setting. I am well-skilled in all the practical aspects of childcare - soothing tears, supporting meal times, easing little ones to sleep, singing and playing and offering cuddles, and of course - changing nappies! I always work to ensure that little ones feel safe, secure, and valued.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified early years practitioner, with an SVQ in Social Studies (Children and Young People) SCQF level 7.
I am Paediatric First Aid trained, and I also have training in Allergen Awareness, Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2, Child Protection, and Safeguarding.
My Availability
I have a flexible schedule and I'm happy to work out a personalised plan for nanny jobs. I am available for babysitting on weeknights and weekends.
I am available from the end of June 2025 onwards.

- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
My fees reflect my qualifications and experience - however, I am willing to negotiate my fees for a family who is a perfect fit.
