About Me
We became full-time carers for our grandson, Oliver, on 22nd April 2022 under a Special Guardianship Order, just one day before his first birthday. As we approach three years on, it’s fair to say our lives have changed completely.
My Requirements
Oliver is a lovely little boy with a kind nature, but he does come with some challenges. Since he came to live with us, we have had very little opportunity for rest or time to ourselves, and we are now feeling the need for some support.
We are looking for a kind, patient, and reliable individual who could help care for Oliver on an occasional basis. This would allow us some respite time—whether that’s catching up on daily tasks or simply being able to go out together for a meal.
Oliver currently attends nursery five days a week for 2.5 hours, and we fund two additional extended sessions each week until 15:30.
We have reached out to the relevant authorities for support in the past, but unfortunately, this has not led to any meaningful assistance.
Ideally, we would like someone who not only provides childcare support but could also offer guidance and understanding where needed.
