Sophie
Seeking registered childminder OR Nanny
About Me
My name is Sophie and I live with my 4 year old little boy, Henry, and partner Charles.
I currently look after Henry full time but have long term health issues so am now looking for a bit of help. He’s is a typical energetic and curious 4 year old and loves spending lots of time outdoors, creative play, music and anything where he can move his body about. I loosely follow Montessori ideas around play and take a gentle parenting approach to raising Henry.
He’s a very sociable and confident little boy and starting to really crave some more time spent with other children.
I am looking to home educate eventually so Henry will not be starting school in September, we hope to find someone who can become part of our village long term.
My Requirements
Childminder role:
Looking for a registered childminder as local to Horsell, Woking as possible, up to 5 miles. I am ideally looking for two mornings or afternoons a week, and preferably all year, not just term time (although could work around this). I am happy to cover the cost of two full days, but would still want to collect Henry at a half day point (so something that looks like 09.15 to 13.15 if a morning session). Flexible with the days of the week currently.
Henry is really looking forward to making new friends and spending lots of time outdoors.
I spend a lot of time incorporating learning opportunities into our day so it would be great to find someone who does the same, to continue to help Henry progress further.
I would look to start a settling in period ASAP.
Nanny Role:
I am interested in finding a Nanny for the either 2 or 3 mornings a week 09.30 - 12.30. I would want someone who is used to organising activities based on EYFS and who is confident taking Henry out to different places. I am looking to organise some new classes (forest school and potentially gymnastics) which could be something you would take him to. It’s really important to me that he starts to have more opportunities where he can build friendships with other children so this would be a priority.
We have a large garden at home and space to play indoors, with lots of activities he can use for days when he’d rather be at home but whoever takes the role would need to be comfortable with the fact I would also be at home and my partner works from home (albeit in his office all day).
I currently have a lady helping me a couple of mornings a week but she is due to finish at the beginning of November, so I’m looking for someone to start in September/October so there is a smooth transition for Henry.
Please get in touch if you think you could fit the role.
