About Me
I am a 30-year-old illustrator with a warm, creative, and caring approach to childcare. I love animals, the beach, running, reading comics, and, of course, drawing. As a creative person, I enjoy bringing imagination, play, and curiosity into my work with children, encouraging them to express themselves and explore the world around them.
I am currently caring for a 17-month-old child twice a week and have been working as a part-time nanny since 2019. Over the years, I have supported a variety of families and have always found childcare to be rewarding, uplifting, and full of opportunities to learn and grow. I pride myself on being kind, calm, reliable, and adaptable, creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can feel comfortable being themselves.
Alongside nannying, I work as a self-employed illustrator and volunteer at Glasgow Zine Library and Project Ability, where I help support art classes for adults with mental health challenges. I am also currently studying to become a counsellor, which is helping me develop my understanding of communication, emotional wellbeing, and compassionate support.
As my work is flexible, I am often available to help families at short notice. Whether it's regular childcare, occasional babysitting, or an extra pair of hands when needed, I would love to support your family and help your children thrive.
My Experience
I have experience caring for children aged 1–13, although most of my work has been with children between the ages of 1 and 9. My childcare experience includes daytime care, overnight care, and before- and after-school care, including school and nursery pick-ups and drop-offs.
In addition to nannying, I have volunteered in both a primary school and nursery setting, giving me experience supporting children's learning and development. I am happy to assist with reading, homework, creative activities, and establishing positive routines.
I have also worked closely with a child with diagnosed autism and ADHD, which has helped me develop a patient, adaptable, and child-centred approach. Every child is unique, and I believe in taking the time to understand their individual personality, needs, interests, and sensitivities. My priority is always to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where children feel understood, respected, and able to thrive.
My Qualifications
I have a postgraduate degree in Illustration and have worked in childcare since graduating. Creativity is at the heart of both my professional and personal life, and I love using art, storytelling, play, and imaginative activities to help children learn, grow, and have fun. Alongside my childcare experience, I am currently training to become a counsellor, which is strengthening my skills in listening, communication, and emotional support. I aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel valued, understood, and free to be themselves.

I am looking for part time work so can be flexible!
