About Me
My husband, Sam, is a building contractor and I’m an artist and we both work from home - Sam goes to London for work 2 days most weeks. Flynn is 3 with a wild imagination and very outdoors, he enjoys dressing up, independent and imaginative play, music, reading stories, singing, walking and craft activities. He is an incredibly perceptive, sensitive, spirited and eloquent 3 year old. He attends a local forest school Monday - Thursday. Arthur, age 9 months, is a very social and active baby, he enjoys climbing, chatting, smiling and giggling. The boys are forming a sweet bond and Flynn is very affectionate towards his baby brother and Arthur is always up for playing.
Where we are:
We are on a beautiful country estate, set in a stunning and idyllic location, sandwiched in between a walled fruit and vegetable garden and a river for paddling in the summer. A lake, tennis court and swimming pool can all be found nearby. 1 mile from the Ludlow Farm Shop and a 40 minute walk to Ludlow along a beautiful and quiet back road. We are surrounded by beautiful walks and open countryside.
My Requirements
We are looking for a local part-time nanny or babysitter for our two upbeat, and outdoorsy boys, aged 3 years and 9 months, in the beautiful countryside near Ludlow, Shropshire. 1-day-a week on Fridays and ad hoc babysits/weekends starting asap (would consider regular Fridays for term time only if can't do holidays).
We are looking for someone who is adaptable and intuitive, naturally expressive and resourceful, with a good sense of humour. A gentle character who will be a calm presence in the home.
The role:
The role will be a mixture of sole charge and shared care for one regular day a week - Fridays 7am - 6pm (hours can be flexible). The role will also involve taking Flynn to his swimming class in term time.
Additional hours would be available for occasional evenings / weekends / holidays.
There are no pets but there’s a cat and two tortoises in the walled garden next door and two dogs at my parents house nearby, and peacocks!
Essential:
Previous Nanny experience (ideally 3 years + experience)
Valid UK Driving License
DBS checked
Non-smoker
Paediatric First Aid qualification
Interest and confidence in healthy cooking
Desirable:
Formal qualifications in childcare / Early Years: Level 3 in childcare or equivalent
Ofsted Registered
Able to work additional hours for babysitting / weekends
