Experienced EYFS Practitioner Wanted for Play & Communication Support At RM12
About Me
My husband and I are a warm, family-oriented couple based in RM12, Hornchurch, with two young boys aged 3 and almost 2.
We are currently looking for a warm, energetic and engaging Early Years practitioner, EYFS teacher, teaching assistant or experienced childcare professional to provide focused support for our 3-year-old son.
He is a happy, active and curious little boy who enjoys music, songs, dancing and play. We would love to find someone who genuinely enjoys getting down to a child’s level, joining in his play and encouraging communication and interaction naturally.
We are a supportive and respectful family and would like someone patient, playful, dependable and enthusiastic who can build a lovely relationship with him and become a familiar, trusted adult in his routine.
We are ideally looking for approximately 2 hours a day, 4 days per week, at our home in RM12.
My Requirements
Early Years / EYFS Learning & Play Support – 4 days per week, 2 hours per day
We are looking for a warm, energetic and experienced Early Years practitioner, EYFS teacher or teaching assistant to work with our 3-year-old son at our home in RM12.
This is not traditional academic tutoring. We are looking for someone who is excellent at engaging young children through play, songs, dancing, stories, role play and interactive activities.
Our son is happy, active and curious and understands instructions well. He uses words and short phrases but can take time to become comfortable interacting with unfamiliar adults. We would particularly like to build his confidence with:
• back-and-forth conversation and interaction
• responding to and initiating communication
• turn-taking and shared play
• following simple instructions from another adult
• asking for help and expressing what he wants
• action songs, dancing and imitation
• imaginative/role play and interactive games
• participating independently without a parent beside him
• confidence in an Early Years/classroom-style environment
We are ideally looking for someone with experience in EYFS, nursery/Reception teaching, speech and language development and/or SEND.
The sessions should be fun, natural and play-based rather than formal or pressured.
Schedule: approximately 2 hours per day, 4 days per week.
Location: RM12, Hornchurch.
Enhanced DBS, references and relevant Early Years experience are strongly preferred.
