About Me
I am an Ofsted registered, fully qualified childminder with over 20 years' experience working with children. My setting, Early Years with Claire, recently achieved Ofsted's Strong Standard.
I am currently studying towards my BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education with The Open University and regularly undertake additional professional development to keep my knowledge and practice up to date.
I provide a warm, nurturing and inclusive home-from-home environment where children learn through play, exploration and real-life experiences. We spend lots of time outdoors and enjoy activities and outings that encourage children's curiosity, confidence and independence.
I have a particular interest and experience in supporting children with SEND, providing individualised support so that every child can participate, communicate and thrive.
My aim is for children to feel happy, secure and genuinely excited to come through the door each day.
My Experience
have over 20 years' experience in childcare and have worked across childminding, preschool and nursery settings, caring for children from babies through to school age.
I am fully qualified in Early Years and have extensive experience supporting children with additional needs and SEND, including working closely with families and other professionals to put appropriate support in place.
My experience includes supporting children's communication and language, emotional regulation, social development, independence and individual learning needs. I use a child-centred approach and adapt activities, routines and the environment to meet the needs of each individual child.
I follow the EYFS while keeping learning natural, playful and based around children's interests rather than creating a classroom-style environment.
My Qualifications
Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner and currently studying towards a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education with The Open University.
Level 3 SENCO, with extensive SEND experience and ongoing professional development.
Training includes Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, Food Hygiene, EYFS, SEND, Children's Play and British Values, alongside regular additional Early Years and SEND training.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
£7 per hour for privately funded childcare. This is an inclusive rate with breakfast, meals, snacks, nappies and wipes included where required — no hidden extras.
Government-funded Early Years places are also available. Please contact me to discuss funded hours and availability.
