hi! I'm Megan,
i love the outdoors and nature so I'll happily take your child out on walks and tell them facts about nature to help with their knowledge and I can help with homework such as reading or spelling and maths if your child is at the age where they get homework.
my main area is children aged 2-5 since I have the most experience with them already but I'm happy to help with both older and younger kids.
I do not yet drive so I have to get places through public transport but as long as you ask in advance I should have no trouble getting to you as long as I can walk from a bus stop or train station to you.
My Experience
I have done placement in a nursery for around 350 hours (two days a week from 8:30am to 3:30pm and 5pm when doing after-school club). during that time I worked with children aged 2-5 and during after-school club I worked with children aged 2-11. I might be doing some volunteering with them soon.
when I was in year 10 in highschool I was a reading mentor and helped year 7's with their reading if they were behind for whatever reason and in year 9 I went to the primary school closest to my old highschool and did reading with children in year 4 through to year 6.
My Qualifications
I have the knowledge from the first year of a level 3 education and childcare t level.
I have done 2 first aid courses, 1 while i was in the air cadets and 1 during my first year on the t level.
My Availability
during the school term i work from 6:30am-9am and for if I'm working during the school holidays it's from 6:30am-3pm so I'm unavailable at those times, I am free other than that though. I prefer to work during the week but I can do the occasional weekend if needed.
