My Requirements

SEN-experienced nanny / childcare support needed in Guildford

We are a family in central Guildford with two daughters, aged 5 and 3, looking for a calm, confident and SEN-experienced nanny/childcarer. The main focus of the role is providing regular one-to-one care for our 5-year-old daughter after school.

She is a bright, affectionate and fun little girl who has additional needs and is currently on the autism/ADHD assessment pathway. She can find demands and transitions particularly difficult and can become significantly dysregulated when overwhelmed. We are therefore specifically looking for someone with good experience supporting autistic/SEND children, who understands emotional regulation and can build a trusting, low-pressure relationship with her.

Our main requirement is:

* Monday and Wednesday: school collection (central Guildford) at 3:15pm and care at our home until around 6pm
* One or two weekday mornings: approximately 6:45–8:45am, taking sole charge of both girls, getting them ready and taking them to school/nursery.

Subject to license checks, the family car would be available for use by the nanny when picking up and collecting the children.

There is some flexibility around the second morning, and we’d also really value someone who could occasionally help on other afternoons when needed. Additional school-holiday hours would be available if wanted.

We’d ideally like to find someone who can stay with us longer term and become a consistent and trusted person in our daughter’s life.

We are based in Guildford and are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
