My Requirements

Hello we are a family of four (with 2 girls, aged 4 and 2) looking for a childminder to help look after our eldest daughter primarily when she starts school in September 2026. She is currently at nursery full time 5 days a week but we are interested in finding someone now to start looking after her regularly so we get to know each other (thinking a day or afternoon per week, possibly including our youngest - open to discuss). We would love to find someone we can work with for many years.

Our eldest daughter is naturally curious and loves to understand how things work. She tends to ask lots of questions and enjoys talking about the world around her, so patience and a willingness to engage in conversation is helpful.

She can also feel anxious at times, and when she does, it may show up as challenging behaviour. She responds best to adults who are calm, confident and consistent, and who can use gentle, supportive approaches to guide her.

She is also very caring, especially with her younger sister, and is thoughtful and generous in her relationships with others.

Eventually we would be looking for after school care (we’re expecting she will probably attend St Nicolas or Onslow Infants) and help during school holidays.
