Looking for SATs support for your year 6 child? Sometimes children simply need a confidence boost, sometimes they need more. Whichever your child needs I am here to help.
I am now offering on line one to one and group lessons.
As an experienced teacher and tutor, I offer in person maths lessons, both one to one and small group maths, in the Newport Pagnell area. I work with children from key stage 2 up to the end of key stage 4 (GCSE).
Through my small group lessons I encourage children to share ideas and collaborate, supporting each others learning. Small group work is more fun allowing us to use more games and investigations. It also works out cheaper per lesson.
One to one lessons are beneficial to those students who feel more anxious and need direct one to one support.
Which ever option you choose, you can be sure that your child will have the individual attention and support needed to make progress.
My Experience
I have over 25 years classroom teaching experience and seven years as a tutor. I have worked mainly in primary schools especially in year 6 teaching and preparing children for the year 6 SATs and for transition to High School. I have been the maths and year 6 lead in schools as well as a key stage 2 marker. I no longer teach in schools, preferring instead to focus on tutoring.
My Qualifications
I have a BA Hons and Cert Ed in addition to this I have an enhanced DBS on the update service and a current safeguarding certificate.
My Availability
I am currently available on Tuesday and Wednesday but please do contact me for my up to date availability.
My Fees
- Tutoring from £40.00 per hour
£50 per 50 mins for one to one lessons
£30 per 50 mins for small group lessons
